HOW TO INSTALL MORE RAM IN YOUR LAPTOP.

The RAM as we all know act as a platfoorm upon which software instructions are executed, they are volatile. It is one oof the factors that determines the speed of the computer, it is measured in megabytes[MB] e.g 16mb,32 mb, 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 512mb e.t.c .

Knowing how to install more RAM in your laptop would not just increase the speed of the computer but would also boost your knowledge of your laptop which goes a long way in saving money by repairing it yourself.

FACTORS TO CONSIDER

Installing a new memory{RAM} is very very easy. But there are some key factors you need to look out for just so you don't end up destroying your laptop.

Be sure you have the right RAM:

Of cuz you need to buy a new ram for your laptop and you have to make sure the ram you bought is compatible with your laptop, If you are noot sure you could take your laptop to the place of purchase. *Very important*

Make sure you remove Eletricity:

Unplug your laptop from light and also remove the battery.

STEPS:

1. Turn of the laptop and remove battery.

2.Locate the RAM compartment. If you are not sure of were the memory module compartment is located , you can make use of your manual to be sure.

3. Make use of a screw driver to open the RAM compartment.

4. Now you have to focus when doing this. Carefully study how the memory Modules is been fixed, just so when you want to install the new one it won't be much of a problem to you.

5.Grasp the clip holding the old module and push it up.

6. Carefully lift it up and remove it from the socket.

7. Now open the new RAM{the one you bought} and study it. Be sure it is not damaged. Now carefully insert the module in the socket and press it down and allow the clips to click in place.

8. Replace the Memory cover and battery. Reboot your laptop .
